Arkanoid is a classic arcade-style video game originally released in 1986 by Taito. The gameplay involves controlling a paddle at the bottom of the screen to bounce a ball towards a wall of bricks, destroying them and earning points. Power-ups can also be collected to enhance gameplay, such as increasing the size of the paddle or providing extra lives. The game features over 30 levels with increasing difficulty, and has been ported to multiple platforms over the years, including the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).
