Adventure Island II is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1991. It is the sequel to Adventure Island and features the return of the protagonist, Master Higgins, as he sets out on a new adventure to save his girlfriend and her sisters from the evil Witch Doctor. The game consists of eight worlds with multiple levels in each, and players must navigate through various terrains while avoiding obstacles and enemies such as animals, insects, and other creatures. Master Higgins can collect power-ups along the way to help him progress, including weapons, health, and other items. The game also features boss battles at the end of each world, where players must defeat the Witch Doctor's minions to progress.
