Golden Sun is a series of role-playing video games developed by Camelot Software Planning and published by Nintendo. The games follow a group of young adepts on a quest to prevent the release of Alchemy, a powerful force that was sealed away long ago. The gameplay features turn-based battles, exploration of a vast world filled with puzzles and secrets, and the ability to use magical powers known as Psynergy to solve challenges and uncover hidden items. The first two games, Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age, were released for the Game Boy Advance in 2001 and 2002 respectively, with a third game, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, released for the Nintendo DS in 2010.
