Darkman is a side-scrolling action game developed by Ocean Software and released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1991. The game is based on the 1990 film of the same name, which tells the story of a scientist named Peyton Westlake who is gruesomely disfigured and becomes the vigilante Darkman.
