Super Adventure Island is a side-scrolling platform game developed by Hudson Soft for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The game follows the adventure of Master Higgins, who sets out to rescue his wife Tina from an evil sorcerer. The gameplay involves running, jumping, and throwing boomerangs at enemies while collecting power-ups and food items to restore health. The game features six different worlds with multiple levels in each, each with different themes like forests, caves, and volcanoes. Along the way, players must defeat bosses and unravel the mystery behind the sorcerer's plot.
