"Downtown Special - Kunio-kun no Jidaigeki Dayo Zenin Shuugou!" is a 2D side-scrolling action game developed and published by Technos Japan Corp. for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1991. The game features characters from the "Kunio-kun" series, which includes popular games such as "River City Ransom" and "Super Dodge Ball." In "Downtown Special," players take on the role of Kunio-kun, who travels back in time to feudal Japan to rescue his girlfriend.
