Archon is a chess-like strategy game developed by Free Fall Associates and released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1989. It features a board with various pieces that represent mythical creatures, each with unique abilities and movements. The objective of the game is to either eliminate all of your opponent's pieces or capture their "Powerpoint" square on the board. The game also includes a "combat mode" where players engage in real-time battles to determine the outcome of conflicts between pieces.
